Terms of Sale

The seller of the digital products covered by these Terms is The Road Ahead Tour Co Ltd, a company registered in Scotland (company number SC887757). Your contract for the digital product is with The Road Ahead Tour Co Ltd.

We do not sell, organise, or act as agent for any accommodation, ferry, transport, motorcycle hire, or package travel service. Where we recommend or link to third-party providers, your contract for those services is directly with the provider, not with us.

The Ride It Yourself product is a one-off digital product. For the Highland Explorer Ride It Yourself, the price is £89 (GBP) per booking.

Your purchase includes:

• The official Highland Explorer Road Book (PDF)
• The GPX files listed on the specific edition page; master files, daily files and alternatives vary between editions.
• Day-by-day route intelligence, route notes and fuel guidance
• Recommended coffee, lunch and photo stops
• Recommended accommodation and ferry/route guidance
• Permanent access to your purchased edition
• Unlimited re-downloads of your purchased edition

Not included: accommodation, ferries, passenger transport, motorcycle hire, and any other travel service. You book and pay for any such services directly with the provider you choose. The Road Ahead receives no payment from you for those services and takes no responsibility for them.

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day right to cancel digital content purchases. However, by proceeding with your purchase and consenting to immediate supply at checkout, you expressly request that the digital content be supplied to you immediately after payment, and you acknowledge that your right to cancel is lost once you have started downloading any files.

If you have purchased a digital product but have not yet downloaded any content, you may cancel within 14 days of purchase for a full refund by contacting us at info@theroadahead.uk.

The price of each digital product is shown on the product page and is charged in full at the point of purchase. Payment is taken in full and access is granted immediately upon successful payment.

All prices are quoted in British Pounds Sterling (GBP). Where applicable, VAT is included in the price shown.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe, Inc. The Road Ahead does not store your full card details — card data is handled by Stripe.

Upon successful payment, digital content is made available immediately through your account dashboard (My Tours). You will receive an email confirmation with access instructions.

If you experience any difficulty accessing your purchased content, contact info@theroadahead.uk within 7 days of purchase.

Your purchase grants permanent access to the edition you purchased (for example, Highland Explorer V1), including unlimited re-downloads of that edition. Minor corrections or replacement files within your purchased edition may be supplied to you without changing the edition.

A future, materially different edition (for example, a Highland Explorer V2) may be released as a separate product. Permanent access to your purchased edition does not automatically entitle you to every future edition. We do not guarantee the perpetual operation of any particular technology, device, app, or platform required to use the files.

Purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the downloaded files for your own private, non-commercial motorcycle touring. You may not share, resell, redistribute, adapt, or publish the content in any format without our prior written consent.

GPS route files and PDF itineraries are provided in good faith based on our testing. Road conditions, regulations, and access may change after publication. You are responsible for verifying route suitability before riding.

Full details of when refunds apply and what happens to your digital access following a refund are set out in our Refund Policy. In summary: if you have not downloaded any content, you may cancel within 14 days for a full refund; once you have started downloading, your right to cancel is lost; and where a full refund is processed, your access to the digital content is revoked.

Recommendations, links, and references to accommodation, ferry, transport, motorcycle hire, activity or other third-party providers are provided for your convenience. Any booking you make with such a provider is a separate contract between you and that provider, on that provider's own terms. We accept no liability for the performance, failure, availability, or quality of third-party services.

These Terms of Sale are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, without prejudice to your statutory rights as a UK consumer.
