18 Days from the Pacific to Denver
2,483 miles across two countries, with two off-bike days to breathe. Tap any day for the full ride guide.

Arrival in Vancouver
No riding target. Check licences, insurance, luggage and navigation before departure.

Vancouver to Whistler
Short mileage by design; traffic can be heavy. Leave room for viewpoint stops.

Whistler to Lillooet
Technical mountain day with steep grades and tight corners. Keep the mileage low.

Lillooet to Kamloops
A relaxed transition from Coast Mountains into BC's dry interior.

Kamloops to Revelstoke
Allow extra time for summer traffic on Highway 1.

Revelstoke to Lake Louise
National park pass required. Construction and wildlife can slow progress.

Lake Louise to Jasper
The tour's signature day. Fuel is limited; fill at Lake Louise and Saskatchewan Crossing.

Rest Day in Jasper
True down day. Optional local riding should remain flexible.

Jasper to Rocky Mountain House
Longest Canadian day. Carry water and keep fuel discipline.

Rocky Mountain House to Waterton Lakes
Maximum-mileage day but mostly flowing ranch roads. Watch for wind and livestock.

Rest Day at Waterton Lakes
Second full down day. Confirm next day's Chief Mountain border hours.

Waterton Lakes to Whitefish
Seasonal border. Verify 2027 opening dates and hours before final booking.

Whitefish to Missoula
Choose MT-83 for the more scenic route rather than direct US-93.

Missoula to West Yellowstone
Long scenic day with remote sections. Fuel at Hamilton, Wisdom and Ennis.

West Yellowstone to Cody
Low mileage, very slow park day. Wildlife and queues can add hours.

Cody to Buffalo
US-14A has steep grades. Confirm road and weather conditions.

Buffalo to Laramie
This is the main transit day. Wind can be strong on Wyoming's open plains.

Laramie to Denver
Snowy Range is seasonal; use US-287 direct as the weather fallback.

Hard-Won Crossing Wisdom.
Border hours, park passes, mountain weather and fuel discipline — the things that actually keep you upright and on schedule across two countries.
Verify Chief Mountain Border Hours
The Canada–US crossing on Day 12 is seasonal. Confirm 2027 opening dates and hours before final booking — the Chief Mountain port can close with little notice.
Carry Both Park Passes
Banff, Jasper, Yoho and Waterton need a Parks Canada pass; Yellowstone and Glacier need an America the Beautiful pass. Buy both up front to skip gate queues.
Maximum 250 Miles a Day
The plan caps every riding day at 250 miles. Three days hit 245 — carry water and keep fuel discipline on the long Canadian and Montana crossings.
Fuel Before the Icefields
Services vanish on the Icefields Parkway. Fill up in Lake Louise and again at Saskatchewan River Crossing; the next fuel is Jasper.
US-14A Steep Grades
The Bighorn crossing has steep grades and tight switchbacks. Confirm road and weather conditions the night before — descents demand brake discipline.
Snowy Range Is Seasonal
WY-130 over the Snowy Range closes with snow. The plan keeps US-287 as the weather fallback for the final run into Denver.
Wyoming Wind
The Day 17 transit across Wyoming's open plains can be gusty. Grip the bars, tuck behind the screen and expect crosswinds on exposed sections.
Yellowstone Wildlife & Queues
Low mileage on Day 15 hides a very slow park day. Bison jams and geyser queues can add hours — start at 07:00 and keep the schedule flexible.
One-Way Bike Rental
Pickup is Vancouver and drop-off is Denver — a one-way hire. Confirm the one-way fee, luggage capacity and roadside assistance in the quote.
Border Paperwork
Carry a valid passport, an eTA for Canada and an ESTA for the US, plus an International Driving Permit. EagleRider handles the bike’s paperwork.
Two Rest Days, Earned
Jasper and Waterton each earn a full day off the bikes. They make the fourteen riding days across two countries sustainable.
Pre-load the GPX
Cell signal dies in the Coast Mountains, the Icefields Parkway and across much of Montana and Wyoming. Have the route on a Garmin or offline app.
