Andy's Route Notes
Personal observations from roads I've ridden. Not marketing — just what I actually think.
NC500
"The Torridon section still stops me. Every time. The road north of Kinlochewe through the mountains to Torridon village is, in my opinion, the finest motorcycle road in the UK. The NC500 earns its reputation there."
Vosges Mountains
"The Vosges is France at its most unassuming and most rewarding. No one is rushing here. The roads are smooth, the villages are beautiful, and the driving style is relaxed. Brilliant for a first European tour."
Route 66
"Route 66 delivers the myth. The diners, the neon, the wide open roads — it's all real. Pace yourself through Illinois, and save your energy for New Mexico and Arizona. That's where it becomes exceptional."

The Atlantic Edge
The Causeway Coastal Route on day one alone is worth the ferry crossing. Torr Head Road is tight and technical — exactly what you want. Donegal's Glengesh Pass was the highlight for me. Proper rider's route, not a tourist loop.

Brilliant four days. Malin Head felt like the edge of the world. Slieve League cliffs are higher than Moher and we had them to ourselves. The GPX route pack was bang on for fuel stops — critical up there.

Did this on a Triumph Tiger and it was perfect. The Sperrin Mountain roads on the last day surprised me — genuinely good riding. Derry is a great overnight stop. Highly recommend the seafood in Donegal Town.

Scotland Grand Luxe
Ten days of the finest riding and hotels I've ever experienced. Gleneagles and The Torridon are on another level. The Bealach na Bà on day 6 is the best road I've ever ridden. Michelin dinner at 1887 was unforgettable.

If you can justify the price, do it. The A93 Glenshee road is a masterpiece and arriving at The Fife Arms in Braemar after a day's riding is special. Speyside distillery private tasting was worth every penny.

The slowest, most deliberate tour I've done and it was worth it. Inverlochy Castle on day 7 — Queen Victoria was right. Cameron House finale was perfect. Not a single corner cut anywhere. This is how Scotland should be done.

North Coast 500
Absolutely brilliant from start to finish. The Bealach na Bà alone is worth the trip — but it's the empty roads through Assynt and Durness that stay with you. Andy's route notes on fuel stops were spot on.

Epic scenery and genuinely challenging riding in places. The single-track sections around Applecross demand full focus. Weather turned on day 3 but that's the Highlands. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Best motorcycle tour I've done in the UK. The anti-clockwise direction works perfectly — you build up to the Bealach na Bà on day 2. Kylesku Hotel lunch stop was a highlight. GPX files were accurate throughout.

Cairngorms Loop
Great route and good GPX. Fuel planning matters around Tomintoul.

Cairngorms Loop
Perfect three-day loop. The Snow Roads were the highlight — quiet, fast and stunning.
